BEST PRACTICES FOR MODIFYING THE WIDGETS IN PHOTOSHOP CS4 


1. Unzip the downloaded file. If you are having trouble with 'corrupt' or 'missing files' in ZIP files, 
we suggest you try using WinAce < http://winace.com/ > to try and extract the files. 
People who have reported these problems have had success when using WinAce.
 Please try this before contacting support, posting comments, forum threads or negative ratings!

2. Open one of the widget PSD files.

3. I suggest pressing Cntrl + Left click ( or Cmnd left click on a mac) over the header bar to immediately select that layer.

4. On your layers panel you should see the header bar layer selected, next to the title you will see a 'fx' symbol, double click that.

5. When the Effects panel pops up, the two categories that are creating the colors are the 'Gradient Overlay' and 'Stroke' which you can see on the left hand side. Click the title 'Gradient.

6. Next click on the colored bar called 'Gradient' then either select a preset gradient from your pallete menu, or double click the little arrows beneath the color bar to change their colors.

7. The same can be done on the 'Stroke' category.
