Atomic Cupcake Chipboard Text Action for Photoshop 7.0, Photoshop CS, or Photoshop CS2 Part I -- Installation 1. Copy the "atomic_cupcake_paintedwood.atn" file to the location of your choice. 2. Open Photoshop. Open the Actions palette (from the "windows" menu section). 3. Click on the triangle button in the top corner of the Actions pallette and click "load actions" Open the file from the location you chose in step 1. Part II -- Using the Action 1. Type some text. The action works best with large letters (at least 400 pixels tall), and may be hard to read if your text is too small. Bolder text works best 2. Click on the name of the action in the Actions palette "atomic_cupcake_paintedwood" 3. Press play. (The triangle button at the bottom.) The painted wood version will be created in a new document -- leaving your original paper or photo in it's original condition. Part III -- Ideas for Shapes You can use the action to make other shapes painted wood, by using a dingbat font. You can also Photoshop's custom shape tool to make chipboard shapes. Just select the shape's layer, right click on it's name in the layers pallette, and choose rasterize. Then run the action. Technically, the action will run on most layers, so try it on a clipart layer, too.
