Responsive Full-Width Video Widget for Adobe Muse

Welcome to the Responsive Full-Width Video Widget by Muse For You

Muse For You - Responsive Full-Width Video Widget

The Responsive Full-Width Video Widget allows you to place a responsive full-width video at the top of your Adobe Muse website. You can change the video width and height over 5 different breakpoints. The breakpoints are added within the widget so the video will continuously play when re-sizing the browser.

*When first adding the widget it is important to make it 100% width by selecting "Stretch to Browser Width" in the resize option in Adobe Muse. You can place the widget anywhere on the website but it will start at the very top of the website when previewing.

*The video will show in Google Chrome when previewing locally on your computer. It will work on all of the other browsers once it is uploaded to a live server or if you are using a localhost program. If the video is set to loop it will also show once it is on a live server or a localhost program.

*A poster image will replace the video on devices that do not play videos automatically and require a play button. I.E. tablets and mobile phones.

The widget options are below.

The widget works well when you enter in the exact video dimensions. The exact dimensions are not necessary but it is important to have the same aspect ratio when entering the video dimensions. Here is a website that explains optimal video dimensions: https://support.brightcove.com/en/video-cloud/docs/optimal-video-dimensions

You can change the width and height of the video among different breakpoints. You can add the breakpoints within the widget. This insures that the video will play even while the browser is re-sizing. You can also change the width of the video to more than 100% so if there are black lines within your video you can make the video larger so the black lines will not show. If you do set the video to larger than 100% you can disable horizontal scrolling by checking the "Disable Horizontal Scroll" option. This will ensure that the website will not scroll sideways if the video is larger than the website.

*It is recommended that the widget start at the largest breakpoint and the additional breakpoints be used for smaller breakpoints within the website.

Tablet devices and mobile phones require a play button in order for video to work. To ensure that your website looks good on tablet and mobile it is important to add a poster image that will replace the video on devices that do not play video automatically.

I've used the following images, icons or other files as listed.
