SUMMARY
Julie, in her late twenties, struggles with indecision about her future. She constantly shifts between career paths—first medicine, then psychology, then photography—never fully committing to one. Her romantic life is equally turbulent. She enters a relationship with Aksel (Anders Danielsen Lie), an older, successful comic book artist who wants stability and children, while Julie remains uncertain about long-term commitments.
Feeling trapped in her relationship with Aksel, Julie impulsively meets and connects with Eivind (Herbert Nordrum), a carefree and easygoing man. Their flirtation develops into a passionate affair, leading Julie to leave Aksel in search of a new beginning with Eivind.
However, Julie soon realizes that happiness remains elusive. As she grapples with the consequences of her choices, Aksel is diagnosed with terminal cancer, forcing her to confront deeper emotions about love, loss, and identity. The film ends on a reflective note, with Julie alone, capturing moments through her photography, suggesting an ongoing journey of self-discovery.
